John was born on November 14th, 1899 in Brooklyn, Poweshiek County, Iowa.1   He died at the age of 65 on February 22nd, 1965 in St. Luke's Hosipital, Cedar Rapids, Linn County, Iowa.  The funeral took place on February 25th, 1965 and was arranged by Hrabak Funeral Home.  He was buried at the Rector Cemetery, South of Chelsea, Tama County, Iowa.2 1 



John's family

John and Carrie were married in a religious ceremony on October 21st, 1922 in Garnet, Anderson County, Kansas.1   They had four sons and six daughters, named John, Merle, Earl, Calvin, Virginia, Elsie, Dorothy, Nancy, Doris and Frances.
