Hazel was born on December 20th, 1904 in Brooklyn, Poweshiek County, Iowa.1   She died from cancer, Breast, at the age of 47 on July 14th, 1952 in Dallas County, Iowa.  The funeral took place at United Methodist Church, Van Meter, Dallas County, Iowa.  She was buried at the Van Meter Cemetery, Van Meter, Dallas County, Iowa.2 2 


Hazel's family

Hazel and John were married in a civil ceremony on August 6th, 1923 in Burlington, Coffey County, Kansas by Probate Judge Pro-Tem J.H. Rudrauff.1   They had a biological daughter named Wilma.  They also had an adopted daughter named Betty.
