Maj. James McMahan 
Maj. James was born about 1734 in Northern Ireland.1 Maj. James' father was John McMahan and his mother was Margaret Murray. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Capt. John, Benjamin, Rachel, Sarah, Elizabeth, Agnes, Mary and Margaret. He died on February 28th, 1823 in Potts Grove, Northumberland, Pennsylvania, USA. He was buried on March 31st, 1823 in Chillisquaque Cemetery.1
