Frank W. was born about 1864 in Illinois, USA.1 Frank W.'s father was William Harvey McLain and his mother was Lydia Antoinette Whitcomb. His paternal grandparents were John S. McLain and Elizabeth McCartney. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Horace E., Elmer Park, Joseph Walter, Clyde Herbert, Mary Luella, Nettie Viola, Emma Blanche and Lottie Leora. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died on December 13th, 1929 in Emerson, Mills, Iowa, USA. He was buried in Emerson Cemetery.-
