Clyde Herbert was born on November 24th, 1878 in Illinois, USA.1 Clyde Herbert's father was William Harvey McLain and his mother was Lydia Antoinette Whitcomb. His paternal grandparents were John S. McLain and Elizabeth McCartney. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Horace E., Elmer Park, Frank W., Joseph Walter, Mary Luella, Nettie Viola, Emma Blanche and Lottie Leora. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 85 on July 7th, 1964 in Red Oak, Montgomery, Iowa, USA. He was buried in Malvern Cemetery.2 -
