William Eugene was born on July 27th, 1898 in El Dorado Springs, Cedar, Missouri, USA.1   William Eugene's father was William Henry McCown and his mother was Inez Boyer.  His paternal grandparents were William M. McCown and Martha A. "Mattie" Houston. He had a sister named Laurayne Inez.  He was the older of the two children. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Ellsworth Bartlett, William H., Margaret T., Skipper, Stella and Mary.  He died at the age of 67 on April 23rd, 1966 in Manhattan, Kings, New York, USA.2
