Mary was born about 1925 in Clinton, Henry, Missouri, USA.1 Mary's father was William Henry McCown and her mother was Estelle May Bartlett. Her paternal grandparents were William M. McCown and Martha A. "Mattie" Houston; her maternal grandparents were Charles Fremont Bartlett and Carrie A Myers. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Ellsworth Bartlett, William H., Margaret T., Skipper and Stella. She was the youngest of the six children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William Eugene and Laurayne Inez. She died before 1936 in Clinton, Henry, Missouri, USA.-
