Desire was born in 1646 in Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA.1   Desire's father was Edward Doty and her mother was Faith Clarke. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Edward, John, Thomas, Samuel, Isaac, Joseph, Elizabeth and Mary.  She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 85 on January 22nd, 1731 in Marshfield, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA.  She was buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery.1
