John Allen 
John was born on October 18th, 1856 in Smithville, Monroe, Indiana, USA. John's father was David Allen and his mother was Eliza A McCown. His maternal grandparents were James M. McCown and Nancy Mourning Lewis. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Elijah Thomas, William Mekes, James Lewis, Samuel David, Nancy Savannah, Mary Elizabeth, Sarah Ann and Margaret Mourning. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 72 on December 19th, 1928 in Bloomington, Monroe, Indiana, USA.-
