Richard Stapleton 
Richard was born on February 22nd, 1911 in Knockboy, Buolick. Richard's father was Patrick Stapleton and his mother was Ellen Bartley. His paternal grandparents were William Stapleton and Margaret Nowlan; his maternal grandparents were Michael Bartley and Mary Manton. He had five brothers and two sisters, named William, Michael, Patrick, James, John, Margaret and Mary. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 57 on July 20th, 1968 in Glengoole.-
