Thomas Furey 
Thomas was born on March 31st, 1899 in Gurrane. Thomas' father was Thomas Furey and his mother was flanagan (Sally) Fahy. His paternal grandparents were Thomas (Tom) Furey and Anne Warde; his maternal grandparents were John Fahy and Bridget Broderick. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Stephen, James, Martin, Anne, Mary, Margaret and Lizzie. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 75 on September 19th, 1974 in Cuang, Upper Canal Rd, Galway. He was buried in Castlegar.-
