Martin Furey 
Martin was born on April 19th, 1902 in Gurrane. Martin's father was Thomas Furey and his mother was flanagan (Sally) Fahy. His paternal grandparents were Thomas (Tom) Furey and Anne Warde; his maternal grandparents were John Fahy and Bridget Broderick. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Stephen, Thomas, James, Anne, Mary, Margaret and Lizzie. He was the third youngest of the nine children.-
