Margaret Furey

Margaret was born on April 10th, 1860 in Gurrane and her baptism took place on April 10th, 1860 in Oranmore.¹   Her godfather was Gregory White and her godmother was Mary White.  Margaret's father was Thomas (Tom) Furey and her mother was Anne  Warde. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Ned, Martin, Thomas, Eliza, Ellen and Bridget.  She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 57 on February 1st, 1918.
