John Edward Flanagan

John was born on May 21st, 1928 in Co Galway. John's father was James Flanagan and his mother was Julia Furey. His paternal grandparents were Martin Flanagan and Mary Murphy; his maternal grandparents were Edward (Ned) Furey and Catherine Reilly. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Martin, Patrick, Patrick, Gerry, Michael, Kieran (Tom), Maura, Kitty, Chris, Celia , Celia and Theresa. He was the fourth oldest of the thirteen children. He died due to a medical problem at the age of 78 on September 3rd, 2006 in Swindon.¹
