S.A.S.Syed Abdul Cader "Periya Kaaliyar"'s father was Ahmed Thambi and his mother was Syed Raabiyath Ummah.  His paternal grandparents were syed ("Mulichan") Mohammed Sahib and Syed Raaviath Ummah. He had a brother named S.A.S.Syed mohammed Sahib  "Cinna Kaaliyar".  He died due to a medical problem.
