Murshida's father is Abu salih and her mother is Syed Raabiath Ummah.  Her maternal grandfather is Mohamed Abdullah Lebbai and her maternal grandmother was Mymunma. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Hasan, Habeeb, Abdullah, Aishath and Rajiya.  She was the second oldest of the six children.  She died from cancer.

Murshida and Shehu Alaudeen were married.  They had a son and a daughter, named Faazil and Fazla.
