Jahufar Hameed's father was S.A.S.Syed mohammed Sahib  "Cinna Kaaliyar" and his mother is Ahmed Aamina (Ummah).  His paternal grandparents were Ahmed Thambi and Syed Raabiyath Ummah; his maternal grandparents were Shehu Mohammed and Mohammed Ibrahim (Ummah). He had two brothers and a sister, named Jamaal, Ahmed and Rahmath. He had a half-brother named Abdul.  He died from cancer.  He was buried in Chennai.

Jahufar Hameed and Ummul Fareedha were married.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Azeezur Rahman, Adhnan Ahmed, Aaminathu Hashera and Muthu Baasheetha.
