PETERSBURG - Services have been set for Russell Rankin, 95, of Petersburg, who died at 1:47 p.m. Sunday at CQC-Stephenson Home, Adrian, where he had been for two years.
Friends may call from 1 un¬til services at 2 p.m. Thurs¬day at Cover Funeral Home, Dundee. The Rev. Richard Bruce, a retired pastor from Britton, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridgeway Ceme¬tery, Ridgeway Township.
Born Feb. 10, 1911, in Dundee, he was the son of Elmer and Carrie (Adams) Rankin. He married Enge¬lina Campbell Nov. 13, 1937. She died Oct. 19, 1968. He married Geraldean Ball July 2, 1972, at Azalia United Methodist Church.
Mr. Rankin retired from Uniroyal Co., Detroit, in 1973. He also had farmed for many years.
He graduated from Dundee High School in 1930 and at¬tended Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti. He en¬joyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife; two stepdaughters, Donna (Byron) Pilbeam of Dundee and Janet (Lee) Wagner of Tecumseh; 11 step-grandchil¬dren; 31 step-great-grandchil¬dren, and nine step-great¬great-grandchildren.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marshall.
