Joseph was born on August 24th, 1798 in Littleton, NH.¹ Joseph's father was Nathantiel Webster and his mother was Miriam Rankin. His paternal grandfather was William Webster and his paternal grandmother is <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were James Rankin and Margaret Witherspoon.
