Louisa was born on June 3rd, 1884 in Kansas City.¹ Louisa's father was Walter Ramsey Norton and her mother was Mary Louisa Rankin. Her paternal grandparents were William C Norton and Sarah Barnes Milne; her maternal grandparents were Albert Augustus Rankin and Louisa Moffitt. She had a brother and a sister, named Albert and Twilia. She was the oldest of the three children.
