Albert was born on September 28th, 1886 in Kansas City.¹ Albert's father was Walter Ramsey Norton and his mother was Mary Louisa Rankin. His paternal grandparents were William C Norton and Sarah Barnes Milne; his maternal grandparents were Albert Augustus Rankin and Louisa Moffitt. He had two sisters named Louisa and Twilia. He was the second oldest of the three children.
