Minerva Moffitt

Minerva was born on October 12th, 1832 in Ohio - Ross County.¹   Minerva's father was John Moffitt II and her mother was Maraget Dawson.  Her maternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Joshua, Alonzo, Hugh, William, John, Matilda, Louisa and Mary.  She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 73 on May 30th, 1906 in Chillicothe, IL.  She was buried at the Chillicothe City Cemetery.^1 1 

‌Minerva and Philip were married in a religious ceremony on May 31st, 1849 in Chillicothe, IL.¹   They had a son and three daughters, named John, Lucy, Mary and Margaret.
