James Hewes 
General Notes
James Hewes lived in Boston and Gloucester, Born in 1638 and died in Boston Aug. 8, 1718. Fought in Canada and King Philips Wars. His wife's name was Elizabeth ----, Their children were baptised in Boston's first church. He was a housewright and on the first list settlers in Gloucester in 1650.
James and Elizabeth were married in a ceremony. They had six sons and four daughters, named James, Jonathan, John, Issac, Jacob, Joseph, Elizabeth, Rachel, Rebecca and Sarah.
