Louisa Emma's father was Thomas Fraunceis Moore and her mother was Anne Wrightson Leach. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Webber Moore and Louisa Matilda Percy; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Askew Leach and Emma Joynes. She had eight brothers and two sisters, named "Edwin" Thomas Edwin, His Honour Judge James, William Charles, Stanley Claude, Richard James, Alfred, Walter John, Arthur, Edith Alice and Annie Mary.

- "Lou"
  Third child.
  Married late in life but childless.
  "Aunt Lou" was a writer - wrote for the Riverland Magazine, and wrote a book about aboriginal legends illustrated by Kath Ballard (??never printed).
  She was known to be quite a romantic.
  Had a hard life.
  
  She also left some hand-written notes about the family history traditions.
