King John was born in 1166.  King John's father was Henry II   -  First Platagenet King of England and his mother was Eleanor of Aquitaine - Queen of France and England.  His paternal grandparents were Geoffrey of Anjou and Empress Maud. He had a brother named King Richard.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 50 in 1216.

King John's family

King John and Isabella of Angoulême were married.  They had a son named King Henry III.
