Sipkje was born on August 14th, 1712 in Rijperkerk.  Sipkje's father was Eelke Pieters and her mother was Klaaske Sakes. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Pieter, Joute, Sake, Joute, Jeltje, Jeltje and Jeltje.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 70 in 1782 in Stiens.
