Albert Rufus Phillips 
Albert was born on May 7th, 1888. Albert's father was Dr Matthew Dalton Phillips and his mother was Margaret Melissa Dalton. His paternal grandparents were Matthew Phillips and Anne Radford Scott; his maternal grandparents were David Nicholas Dalton and Margaret Melissa Rives. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Matthew, Ernest, Katherine, Melissa, Margaret, Georgia, Mildred, Julia and Ruth. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died due to natural causes or old age at the age of 81 on July 4th, 1969. He was buried in Phillips Family Cemetery, Pinnacle, North Carolina.-
