Thomas was born in October 1813.  Thomas' father was Charles Grim and his mother was Alcinda Armstrong. He had three brothers and a sister, named Joseph, Charles, Barnett and Mary.  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 50 on July 12th, 1864.
