Marcus was born on December 4th, 1754.  Marcus' father was Johannes Adam Diehm and his mother was Anna Christine Laudenclos.  His paternal grandparents were Valentine Diehm and Eva; his maternal grandparents were Leonhard Laudenclos and Anna Barbara Yoinigh. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Ludwig, Johann, Adam, Jacob, Maria, Maria and Catherine.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 59 on April 14th, 1814.
