Monroe Paris Deem 
Monroe was born in 1853. Monroe's father was Cpt. David Deem and his mother was Lurainey Bailey. His paternal grandparents were Juniper Deem and Eliza Louisa Thornton. He had a brother and five sisters, named Theodore, Dorcas, Elizabeth, Olivia, Lucinda and Malana. He was the third oldest of the seven children.
