Cpt. David Deem II 
David was born in 1830. David's father was Jacob Deem and his mother was Mary Catherine Lazure. His paternal grandparents were Adam Deem Sr and Catherine Foughty. He had five brothers and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named James, Patrick, Jacob, HIram, William, Louisiana, Susan, Elizabeth, Rosanna and Roue.General Notes
David appears in the 1890 Veterans Census and states he served 21 years, 10 months. Possible that David was a Career Army officer as he was a Captain in the Civil War. He served with the 11th West Virginia Infantry (Federal). He was wounded on 9/3/1863 at West Fork. At the time of his wounding, he was the Commander of Comapny E, 11th WV Infantry (Federal).
