Robert Edward Dalton 
Robert was born on January 3rd, 1854. Robert's father was David Nicholas Dalton and his mother was Margaret Melissa Rives. His paternal grandparents were Absolom Bostic Dalton and Nancy Poindexter; his maternal grandparents were William Alston Rives and Frances H Smith. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William, John, Rufus, David, Walter, Frances, Nancy and Margaret. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Thomas, Charles, Marshall, John, Oscar, Alfred, Georgia, Cora and Bertha. He died at the age of 78 on May 29th, 1932.-
