Bertha Elsie Dalton

Bertha was born on March 18th, 1886.  Bertha's father was David Nicholas Dalton and her mother was Rebecca Jane Westmoreland.  Her paternal grandparents were Absolom Bostic Dalton and Nancy Poindexter; her maternal grandparents were Alexander Westmoreland and Frances Marshall. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Charles, Marshall, John, Oscar, Alfred, Georgia and Cora.  She was the youngest of the nine children. She had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named William, John, Robert, Rufus, David, Walter, Frances, Nancy and Margaret.
