Olive was born in July 1912.  Olive's father was John Thomas Price and her mother was Ruby Beatrice O'Brien.  Her paternal grandparents are Thomas Price and Sarah Duce.  She had six brothers and four sisters, named Alexander "Lex" John Cedric, Geroge "Grimmet" Edward, Ruby Myrtle, John Thomas "Tom", Kevin James, Gary Joseph, Harriet Violet May, Lorna, Esme and Sylvia Gladys.
