Roberson Francis was born on February 28th, 1916.  Roberson Francis' father was August James Fontaine and his mother was Sabina McNamara.  His paternal grandparents are Gille Fontaine and Lavinia Ann Morris Rider; his maternal grandparents were James McNamara and Mary Ann Fuller.  He had eight brothers and five sisters, named William James, Ernest Alfred, Berty George, David Oliver, Philip Charles, Boxer Robertson, Lawrence Edward, Joseph Henry, Minnie Mable, Bertha Maude, Jessie Maria, Queen Ethel and Ivy Kuridala Rose.  He was the thirteenth oldest of the fourteen children.  He died at the age of 67 on September 14th, 1983.
