Neil was born on March 26th, 1873.  Neil's father was Neil Fletcher and his mother was Margaret Campbell.  His paternal grandparents are Andrew Fletcher and Margaret Henderson; his maternal grandfather is James Campbell.  He had three brothers and four sisters, named Andrew, Archibald, James Neil, Margaret, Annabella Catherine, Christina and Helen.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at just 10 days old on April 5th, 1873 in Buried Dalby.
