Sophia was born on January 22nd, 1851 in Madras, India.  Sophia's father was Stephen Pincott and her mother was Caroline Simmonds Pincott.  Her maternal grandparents were unkown and Elizabeth Paye (Simmonds). She had two brothers and two sisters, named Frederick, George, Sarah and Camelia.  She died at the age of 63 on January 5th, 1915 in Koblenz, Germany.
