Charlie was born in 1875.  Charlie's father was <Unknown> and his mother was Sophia Pincott (Reuter).  His paternal grandparents were Marinus Cornelis Hegt and Johanna Noordhoek; his maternal grandparents were Stephen Pincott and Caroline Simmonds Pincott. He had three brothers named Arthur, Harry and Willy. He had five half-brothers named Franz, Georg, Gustav, Fritz and Otto.
