Catharina was born on September 12th, 1656.  Catharina's father was Anton Reuter and her mother was Maria Margareta Linzig (Reuter).  Her paternal grandparents were Johannes Reuter and Elisabeth Maria Reuter. She had a brother and two sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Jakob, Magdalena, Margareta and unknown.  She was the second oldest of the five children.
