Capitão de uma das companhias de ordenanças da Praia da Vitória, ilha Terceira, Açores, com 74 homens, que tomou parte no assalto ao Castelo de Angra do Heroísmo, na reatauração (Leonardo de Saa Soto Mayor, Alegrias de Portugal ou Lágrimas dos Castelhanos, Lisboa, 1977, pág. 111). Por estes Serviços e pelos que prestou na Praia, foi agraciado com o nábito de Aviz e 20$000 réis de tença, por carta de 4 de Fevereiro de 1645.
Juiz ordinário da Câmara da Praia em 1643 e 1683.
