Johan Pieter Jan was born on March 7th, 1907 in Rotterdam.  Johan Pieter Jan's father was Johan Gijsbert Willem van Dormolen and his mother was Elisabeth Johanna Brachthuizer.  His paternal grandfather was Aalbert van Dormolen and his paternal grandmother is Johanna Gijsbertha Wilhelmina van Duuren. He had a brother and a sister, named Aalbert and Johanna Georgetta.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 33 in 1940 in Jappenkamp.
