John  was born on November 22nd, 1924 in 2 Brighae, Logie, Stirlingshire. John 's father was John  Lawson Lumsden and his mother was Wilhelmina Blair Ferguson.  His paternal grandmother was Jean Lumsden; his maternal grandparents were William Blair Ferguson and Catharine Addie. He had a brother and a sister, named <Unknown> and Jean.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died from cancer, Uraemia, Transitional Cell Carcinoma of Bladder, at the age of 82 on March 22nd, 2007 in Strathcarron Hospice, Denny.  The funeral took place on March 30th, 2007 in Falkirk Crematorium and was arranged by Co-Operative Society.  His cremation was on March 30th, 2007 in Falkirk Crematorium.1
