William Drysdale was born on August 5th, 1899 in Bonnybridge, Denny.1  William Drysdale's father was Alexander Jeffrey and his mother was Jessie Archibald Somers Mouat.  His paternal grandparents were John Jeffrey and Janet Richardson; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Mouat and Janet  Drysdale. He had three brothers and a sister, named John, Alexander, Lawrence and Jessie Archibald Sommers (Nett).  He died from cancer, Site of primary unknown, at the age of 83 on February 25th, 1983 in Strathcarron Hospice, Denny.  The funeral took place on March 1st, 1983 in Falkirk Crematorium and was arranged by Forth Valley Co-operative Society Limited.  His cremation was in Falkirk Crematorium.2 3 4
