József was born on January 12th, 1749 in Vedrődújfalu (Cífer).1   His godfather was Benkovszky Márton.  József's father was Peskó János and his mother is Mária. He had four brothers and four sisters, named János, Mihály, Péter, János, Mária, Katalin, Mária and Anna.  He was the third oldest of the nine children.  József is no longer alive.
