Terézia was born on September 9th, 1857 in Maniga.1   Her godfather was Bajza István and her godmother was Schramek Anna.  Terézia's father was Matovics Pál and her mother was Paczelt Mária.  Her maternal grandparents were Paczelt György and Tircz Mária. She had three brothers and six sisters, named István, József, Mihály, Mária, Katalin, Anna, Ilona, Magdolna and Magdolna.  She was the youngest of the ten children.  She died  due to tabes at the age of 1 on December 26th, 1858 in Maniga.  The funeral took place on December 28th, 1858 in Maniga.2 2
