Magdolna was born on January 21st, 1848 in Maniga.1   Her godfather was Bajza István and her godmother was Schramek Anna.  Magdolna's father was Matovics Pál and her mother was Paczelt Mária.  Her maternal grandparents were Paczelt György and Tircz Mária. She had three brothers and six sisters, named István, József, Mihály, Mária, Katalin, Anna, Ilona, Magdolna and Terézia.  She was the seventh oldest of the ten children.  She died  due to tabes at the age of 2 on March 28th, 1850 in Maniga.2
