Ferenc was born in March 1768 in Jászárokszállás.1   His godmother was Berta Klára.  Ferenc's father was Bobák Mihály and his mother was Bohák Ilona.  His paternal grandparents were Bobák Mihály and Faragó Ilona; his maternal grandfather was Bohák Pál and his maternal grandmother is <Unknown>. He had a brother and two sisters, named András, Apollónia and Ilona.  He was the oldest of the four children.
