John William Muir

John William was born on February 27th, 1779 in Fordel Middelton, Dalgetty, Fife. John William's father was William Muir and his mother was Janet Beveridge. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Muir and Christian Wilson. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Thomas, James, William, Grissel, Christian, Euphen, Bessie, Katharine, Janet and Helen. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He died at 6 months old on September 5th, 1779 in Dalgetty, Fife.
