John Muir

John was born about March 9th, 1720 in Fordell, Boghead, Dalgetty, Fife, Scotland. John's father was Alexander Muir (Mure) and his mother was Elizabeth McNabb. His paternal grandparents were James Moir and Marjorie Burnet. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, David, Alexander, James, Elizabeth, Agnes and Margaret. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died on June 5th, 1782 in Dalgetty, Fife.
