James Muir

James was born about May 11th, 1731 in Dalgetty, Fife, Scotland and his baptism took place on May 16th, 1731 in Dalgetty, Fife. James' father was James Muir and his mother was Elizabeth (Bessie or Betty) Allan. His paternal grandparents were Mathew Muir and Agnes Davidson. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, David, John, Margaret, Janet, Janet, Janet and Betty. He was the eighth oldest of the nine children.
